An 18-year-old man from Sheridan has been charged with 2nd-degree rape following an investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division into an alleged sex offense involving a juvenile in the Town of Sheridan. According to the Sheriff's Office, the unidentified suspect turned himself in on Thursday and will be arraigned on the Class D felony charge.
