LaBella Presents Update on Fredonia's North County Water Project

Field work is underway for the Village of Fredonia's project to connect with the North County Water District. Representatives from LaBella Associates presented an update on the project during a Village Board workshop last Monday. Meanwhile, additional grant funding is being pursued for the project, in addition to the $17.5 million that has already been secured through the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation. Grant specialist Jennifer Vaughn says applications have been submitted for support from the New York Department of State and from the federal government...
Jennifer Vaughn: have requested $6.25 million
In addition to that, applications are planned for up to a combined $7.5 million from Empire State Development, the Appalachian Regional Commission, and New York State Homes and Community Renewal. Vaughn says that would make the project "affordable in the long term."
