Fredonia village officials look for new building inspector

The Village of Fredonia will begin a search for a new building inspector.  John Monaco has resigned from the position according to Fredonia Mayor Steve Keefe.  He says village officials will begin to seek qualified candidates soon.

Keefe-Village received resignation on Monday

Monaco is retiring after holding the post for nearly 15 years.

Also, during a special Village Board last night, trustees by a 4-0 vote approved the purchase of two new police cars.   The new vehicles will replace two vehicles that have high mileage according to Police Chief Brad Meyers.  The department did not replace any vehicles last year and currently have four marked and two unmarked cars.  The village will go to bonding for the $66,000 purchase.
