Mark A. Lessinger, 75, of Brocton passed away on Wednesday February 11, 2026. He was born on November 24, 1950 to Harold and Natalie Lessinger in Newburgh, NY.
Mark graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1968 and received his Bachelor's degree from Fredonia State University in 1989.
Mark retired from the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services in 2012. Prior to his employment with the county, he enjoyed owning and running a small photography and pet store, Knowlton's. Mark also spent many years volunteering with Fredonia Fire Department and more recently took up wood turning and enjoyed creating many small craft items. Throughout his life, he partook in a variety of musical endeavors and had a deep love for classical music. In addition to spending time with his grandchildren, Mark's favorite companion was his bernedoodle, Zachary.
Mark is survived by his son, David (Susan) Lessinger; his daughter, Erica (Paul) Alves; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Adam, Matthew and Raemond. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Natalie; his brother, Bart; and wife, Martha.
The family will be holding a private memorial service, with a Celebration of Life to be held later in the year.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Brocton Fire Department or Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Jordan Funeral Home, 6 Parkway Drive in Sinclairville.
