Her commitment to animal welfare didn't stop there; in 2009, she founded the Pet Pantry nonprofit organization and volunteered at numerous animal shelters, demonstrating her selfless nature and passion for helping animals in need.

Her passions extended beyond her professional life; In her early twenties, she competed in bodybuilding. Later in life, Julie was an avid crafter, delighting in creating "Pot People" from clay flower pots. Often crafting while loudly listening to her favorite bands, Supertramp and Queen.

Above all, Julie was known for her supportive and selfless nature. Her greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren, who were the very center of her universe. She was always ready to lend a hand or offer encouragement, exhibiting kindness in all her interactions.
