Saturday Sports Update

Top: On rivalry day, Fredonia dominated Dunkirk on both the baseball and softball diamonds.  In baseball, Fredonia's ace, Jarod Burmaster (left) retired the first 13 batters of the game en route to a no-hitter in an 18-0 victory for the Billies.  Burmaster notched 14 strikeouts and walked three in the win.  In softball, Maggie Mignoli (right) gets ready to field a ground ball in the Lady Billies' 6-2 victory.  Photos by Ron Szot

Bottom left: LeBron James and Kyrie Irving celebrate during Game 3 of the NBA's Eastern Conference First Round playoff series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons.  Irving had a game-high 26 points, while James added 20 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists in the Cavs' 101-91 win.  Cleveland leads the series 3-0.

Bottom right: Nikolay Kulemin celebrates the New York Islanders' game-winning goal in Game 5 of their Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Florida Panthers.  Alan Quine scored the decisive goal late in the second overtime to give the Isles a 2-1 win and a 3-2 series advantage.  Photo by the Sun Sentinel
