Top: The Baseball Hall of Fame's two newest members are officially being enshrined today in Cooperstown. Ken Griffey, Jr. (left), known for his sweet home run swing, becomes the first player to go into the Hall as a Seattle Mariner. Mike Piazza (right), who began his career with the Dodgers and later found success with the Mets, is one of the all-time great home run-hitting catchers in baseball history.
Bottom left: New York Yankee fans may not be seeing Aroldis Chapman in pinstripes much longer. Multiple sources have indicated that the Bronx Bombers are close to trading away the closer who has thrown pitches upwards of 105 MPH this season. The Cubs, Nationals, Giants, and Indians are among the teams interested in Chapman.
Bottom right: Jarod Burmaster was Fredonia High School's pitching workhorse on the baseball diamond during the spring. His efforts in leading the Billies to the New York State Class B championship game in Binghamton have now been rewarded -- Burmaster was recently named to the New York State Sportswriters Association's All-State First Team for Class B.
