On Friday, the Pine Valley girls, coached by Bryelle Cortright (far right) had their senior night and made the most of it with a 55-12 win over Forestville. Bottom: Stanford women's basketball coach Tara Vanderveer made history on Friday. Vanderveer's 8th-ranked Cardinal defeated USC 58-42, giving Vanderveer her 1,000th career win. Vanderveer, who was inducted into the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame in 2010, is only the third NCAA basketball coach to reach that milestone, joining Tennesee's Pat Summitt and Duke's Mike Krzyzewski.
