Bottom: As playoff races heat up across Major League Baseball, pitching will become more important. For the New York Yankees, they hope their ace, Luis Severino (left), will return to his early season form. On Saturday, Severino picked up his 16th win of the season after losing four of his previous five starts. Meanwhile, the Red Sox hope their lefty ace, Chris Sale (right), will be healthy by the time the playoffs start. On Saturday, the Sox played Sale on the 10-day DL after he experienced more issues with his shoulder. Photos by Newsday and USA Today
