Saturday Sports Update

Top: Fredonia improved its record to 4-0 on the high school football season with a gritty 24-19 victory over Falconer-Cassadaga Valley. Senior tailback Joell Colon (left) had his usual solid night running the ball with 16 carries for 174 yards and a touchdown.  Jake Skinner (right), shown here running for a 2-yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter, provided some late heroics with a 42-yard reception for a touchdown with 1:45 left in the 4th quarter to give the Billies the win.  Photos by Ron Szot

Bottom left: The New York Yankees' magic number is now down to two.  On Friday, the Bronx Bombers inched closer to clinching a playoff spot with a 10-8 win over the Baltimore Orioles.  Didi Gregorius got the scoring started for New York with a two-run homer.  Image by the YES Network

Bottom right: Will Tiger Woods be on the prowl today in Atlanta?  He's tied for the lead at -7 at the halfway point of the PGA Tour Championship, the final tournament of the PGA's FedEx Cup playoffs.  Photo by USA Today
