Top: University at Buffalo basketball fans had plenty to cheer about Friday, as their men's and women's basketball teams notched First Round victories in their respective NCAA tournaments. Jeremy Harris (left) had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds as the UB men cruised to a 91-74 win over Arizona State. Bottom left: The Buffalo Bills signed a veteran safety turned linebacker to bolster their special teams unit. On Friday, the Bills agreed to a one-year deal with Maurice Alexander, who began his career as a standout safety for the Rams before playing for the Seattle Seahawks in 2018. Bottom right: There will be no playoffs for LeBron James this NBA season. The inevitable became official on Friday, as the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Brooklyn Nets 111-106, eliminating the Lakers from postseason contention.
