Top: Virginia basketball fans can thank Mamadi Diakite for keeping their national championship dreams alive. On Saturday against Purdue, the Cavaliers went to the free throw line down by three points with only 5.9 seconds remaining in regulation. Needing something crazy to happen, Virginia hit the first free throw and missed the second, but Diakite kept the possession alive for his team, as well as the game! Virginia went on to win 80-75 for its first Final Four appearance in 35 years. Watch the video to see the crazy sequence for yourself! Video by CBS Sports
