Sunday Sports Update

Top left: Just when it looked like the New York Yankees' injury list could not get any longer, it did just that on Saturday. All-Star slugger Aaron Judge is seen here leaving Saturday's game against Kansas City after he injured his left oblique while swinging at a pitch in the bottom of the 6th inning, and he is expected to be placed on the injured list.  Judge becomes the 13th Yankees player in this young MLB season to go on the shelf with an injury.  Photo by Newsday

Top right: Mike Scott put a dagger into the Brooklyn Nets' hopes of advancing to the next round of the NBA's Eastern Conference Playoffs. On Saturday, Scott drilled a three-pointer from the left corner for Philadelphia with 19.7 seconds remaining.  The 76ers beat the Nets 112-108 to take a 3-1 lead in the series.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom right: Silver Creek High School's Brady Woleben was one of three local players named to the New York State Sportswriters Assocation's All-State teams this week.  Woleben, who scored better than 23 points per game this season, was given honorable mention for Class C.  Two Forestville players, Javier West and Luke Szumigala, got honorable mention for Class D.  Photo by the Observer
