Sunday Sports Update

Top left: Ronald Brown and the Brocton Bulldogs won a classic pitcher's duel in the Section VI Class D championship game in Jamestown on Saturday. Brown pitched a shutout and gave up only two hits while striking out nine batters in the win. Brocton's bats were able to produce just enough to get the win; a 4th-inning single by Riley Rivera drove in the game's only run, as Brocton defeated Clymer-Sherman 1-0 to win its second consecutive sectional title.  Photo by the Observer

Bottom right: Serena Williams is heading home early after a shocking upset at the French Open on Saturday.  In Round 3 on the red clay of Roland Garros, fellow American Sofia Kenin upset Williams 6-2, 7-5.  It's her earliest exit from the French Open since 2014.  Photo by USA Today
