Saturday Sports Update
Top: Fredonia and Southwestern on Friday met for the first time in a high school football game since 2011, the last time the Billies were in Class C South. The Billies could not get anything going, as the defense stifled Dalton Gardner (left) and the running game. Meanwhile, Garrett Swan (right) was one of two Trojan receivers to catch two touchdowns on the night, as Southwestern rolled to a 42-0 victory at the Orange Bowl to drop to 2-2. Photos by Ron Szot
Bottom left: The Buffalo Bills will need as much offensive firepower at their disposal as possible for Sunday's critical early-season showdown with the New England Patriots. That includes running back Devin Singletary, who was limited in practice on Friday and still dealing with a hamstring injury. Singletary is listed as questionable for Sunday.
