Top: The Section VI high school basketball playoff matchups are set! The brackets were finalized this morning during Section VI's seeding meeting. Nick Whitfield (left) and the Fredonia boys are the 3 seed in Class B-2 and will be waiting until Saturday to get their postseason underway. Meanwhile, Kymi Nance (right) and the Dunkirk girls will be starting their playoff run on Tuesday with a home game against Olean. File photos
Bottom left: Jayvon Graves had himself a night for the University at Buffalo men's basketball team on Friday. Graves tallied a career-high 33 points in a thrilling 104-98 victory at Kent State that went to double overtime. 30 of Graves' points came in the second half and in the two overtime periods.
