Top left: Kobe Bryant (center), whose life was tragically cut short in a helicopter crash back in January, headlines the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame's Class of 2020. Bryant played 20 seasons in the NBA, all with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning five championships in his career. The new inductees also include Tim Duncan (left) and Kevin Garnett (right). Top right: The coronavirus has taken the life of a former Buffalo Bills player. Kicker Tom Dempsey, who played for the Bills in the late 1970s, passed away on Saturday at the age of 73. Dempsey, who had a deformed right hand and right foot since birth, played 11 seasons in the NFL. He is best known for making a game-winning, record-breaking 63-yard field goal for the New Orleans Saints in 1970.
Bottom: Three local high school seniors recently earned All-Star honors for this past boys basketball season. Silver Creek's Dominic Jamison (left) made the CCAA Division 1 East First Team after leading the Black Knights to a second-place finish in league play. Westfield seniors Michael Johnson (center) and Ryan Jafarjian (right) were both named to the CCAA Division 2 West First Team for their efforts in leading the Wolverines to a league title and a 17-4 overall record.
