Sunday Sports Update
Top: What kind of performance will the Buffalo Bills put in today after coming off their bye week? Whatever it is, it will be without the services of wide receiver John Brown (left), who was placed on injured reserve on Saturday as he continues to deal with a bad ankle. The Bills will be hosting a Los Angeles Chargers team that is currently in last place in the AFC West, but features an impressive rookie quarterback in Justin Herbert (right). Bottom left: The Denver Broncos are finding themselves in a real pickle at the quarterback spot today. Starter Drew Lock, as well as the other three signal callers listed on the Broncos' roster, have all been declared ineligible to play against the New Orleans Saints because one of them tested positive for COVID-19 and the other three, including Lock, were deemed high-risk close contacts who did not wear masks. Bottom right: Buffalo running back Jaret Patterson turned in a record-setting performance on Saturday. The junior tied an NCAA single-game record with eight rushing touchdowns in UB's 70-41 win over Kent State. Patterson also tallied 409 yards on 36 carries, setting a single-game MAC rushing record and the second-highest rushing yardage total in any FBS game. Photo by the University at Buffalo
