Saturday Sports Update
Top: It has been a long week building up to this moment, but the Buffalo Bills (left) are ready to play their first playoff game at Bills Stadium since 1996. The Bills, who matched a franchise record with a 13-3 mark during the regular season, welcome the Indianapolis Colts to town in the first of three wild card games on today's NFL schedule. The franchise will be seeing a familiar face on the opposite sideline -- Frank Reich (right), who is best known for rallying the Bills from a 32-point deficit to beat the Houston Oilers in the 1992 playoffs, returns to One Bills Drive, but this time as the head coach of the Colts. Tune in to today's Bills-Colts game on WDOE (94.9 FM/101.5 FM/1410 AM), with kickoff at 1:05 PM! Photos by the Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts
Bottom left: A welcome sight on the ice for the Buffalo Sabres on Friday, as Dylan Cozens skated with the team on Friday for the first time since being selected in the 1st round of the NHL Draft. Cozens, along with fellow 1st-round pick Jack Quinn, recently competed with Team Canada in the World Junior Hockey Championships. Sabres head coach Ralph Krueger hopes for both players to participate in the team's second intra-squad scrimmage, which is slated for this evening. Photo by the Buffalo Sabres
Bottom right: Former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda passed away on Thursday at the age of 93. The Dodgers announced Friday that Lasorda, who managed the team for 21 seasons, suffered a sudden cardiopulmonary arrest at his home late Thursday night. Lasorda won 1,599 games as Dodgers manager from 1976-1996 and also won two World Series. Photo by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum
