Top left: Dunkirk High School's Javier DeJesus delivers a pitch during Friday's game against Southwestern at Al Stuhlmiller Field. DeJesus pitched a complete game and gave up one earned run on six hits and three walks while striking out six batters. Top right: New York Mets fans got a scare when their ace, Jacob DeGrom, left Friday's game against the San Diego Padres with an injury to his pitching elbow. DeGrom, who has been lights out this season with a 6-2 record and an ERA of 0.56, told reporters afterward that he is not worried about the injury, saying he expects to proceed with his normal routine in preparation for his next start.
