Top left: Gerrit Cole delivered a big-time performance on the mound in Houston on Saturday. The New York Yankees' ace pitched a complete game, three-hit shutout, delivering 129 pitches in a 1-0 win over the Astros. Cole was able to complete the job after it appeared that Yankees manager Aaron Boone would take him out of the game with two outs in the bottom of the 9th. Photo by USA Today
Top right: One of the top young power hitters in Major League Baseball will be on the shelf for the rest of the season. Atlanta Braves right field Ronald Acuna, shown here being helped off the field, tore an ACL while trying to catch a line drive against the Miami Marlins on Saturday. Acuna was hitting .283 with 24 home runs on the season before his injury. He has amassed 105 total round-trippers since making his MLB debut in 2018. Photo by USA Today
Bottom left: The scene shifts to Milwaukee tonight for Game 3 of the NBA Finals, and it's must-win time for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, who trail the Phoenix Suns 2-0 in the series. Giannis, who was held to 20 points in Game 1 before going off for 42 points in Game 2, told reporters on Saturday that his teammates are aware of the high stakes, but it's important for them to stay relaxed.
