Top left: The Buffalo Sabres on Saturday officially announced that they have traded forward Sam Reinhart to the Florida Panthers, ending a seven-year stint for Reinhart in Buffalo.  In return, the Sabres received a 1st-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, plus goalie Devon Levi.  Reinhart tallied 134 goals and 161 assists in a Sabres uniform; last season, he tied a career high with 25 goals.  File photo

Bottom right: Phil Messina was one of a bevy of Dunkirk High School players who earned CCAA Division 1 West all-star honors for the 2021 baseball season.  This week, Messina was named the league's Player of the Year after hitting .491 with 24 RBI on a team that finished with a 16-4 overall record.  Four other Dunkirk players -- Alex Ahlstrom, Javier DeJesus, Donovan Lockett and Mike Norton -- made the league's First Team, while Nick Zatorski and Scott Zorzenski earned Second Team honors.  File photo
