Sunday Sports Update
Top left: The last time the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins met was last December. On that day, the Bills, who had already clinched a home playoff game, routed the Dolphins behind a three-touchdown performance by Isaiah McKenzie. The tenor of today's game will feel much different, as the Bills try to avoid an 0-2 start to this season and, more importantly, avoid falling two games behind the Dolphins. Top right: The New York Yankees have slid back out of an American League wild card spot. On Saturday, the Bronx Bombers got blown out by the Cleveland Indians 11-3. The loss, coupled with a win by the Toronto Blue Jays, puts the Yankees 1/2 game back of the Jays for the second spot. New York also fell 1 1/2 games behind the Boston Red Sox for the first wild card spot after the Red Sox beat Baltimore. Photo by USA Today
Bottom: Dunkirk native Elon DeJesus was in the national spotlight on Saturday in his fourth professional boxing match. DeJesus fought Rajon Chance in a super bantamweight bout in Bakersfield, California, and the six-round fight ended in a majority draw -- a controversial decision by many accounts. Highlights of Saturday's bout can be seen below.
