Top: Dunkirk and Fredonia squared off for the 128th time in their high school football rivalry series Friday night at Karl Hoeppner Field. Fredonia quarterback Nick Whitfield (left) threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns and added 59 rushing yards and two more touchdowns on the ground, giving him 12 on the season, as the Hillbillies routed Dunkirk 47-19. Ted Roberts (right) was one of the bright spots for the Marauders; he ran for 125 yards on 13 carries, including a 69-yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter. Images by Dunkirk Access
Bottom left: The Buffalo Sabres did not have much success against one of their former teammates Friday night. Linus Ullmark stopped 35 out of the 36 shots he faced, as the Sabres lost 4-1 at the KeyBank Center. On Friday, the Houston Astros clinched a spot in the Fall Classic by defeating the Boston Red Sox 5-0 to win the American League Championship Series 4-2.
