Sunday Sports Update
Top: The Buffalo Bills surely have a bad taste in their collective mouth after last Monday's 34-31 loss at the Tennessee Titans, especially since the Bills have more time to think about it. They are one of six NFL teams on their bye week this week, and in his most recent press conference, head coach Sean McDermott stated that "you want to get rid of [the feeling of losing] as quickly as possible." Bottom left: Dustin Tokarski was a busy man in net for the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday. He made 37 saves in net, and his play allowed the Sabres to earn a point against the New Jersey Devils. The Sabres came up short in the end, however, as they lost 2-1 in overtime. Photo by the Buffalo Sabres
Bottom right: A new FBS college football record was set Saturday in Happy Valley, as Illinois and Penn State needed nine overtime periods to decided a winner. The unranked Fighting Illini left with one of the big upsets of the day, as Casey Washington scored the game-winning two-point conversion in the 9th overtime to stun the 7th-ranked Nittany Lions 20-18.
