Top: He's been known for calls such as "May Day!", "Scary good!" and "Top shelf, where Mama hides the cookies!" for 51 seasons. Now, the Buffalo Sabres are planning to immortalize Rick Jeanneret in April. On Friday, the Sabres announced that they will be raising a banner with Jeanneret's name into the rafters of the KeyBank Center before the team's home game against the Nashville Predators on April 1st. Jeanneret, who has been broadcasting Sabres games since 1971, is retiring at the end of this season.
Bottom left: The Buffalo Bills have a light injury report heading into Sunday's regular season finale against the New York Jets. Two players are listed on the report; one of them is wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who is doubtful with a knee injury. The injury kept him out of last week's 29-15 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Sanders has 626 receiving yards and four touchdowns on the season for the Bills, who can clinch the AFC East with a win on Sunday.
Bottom right: The world's top-ranked tennis player is battling to make it to Melbourne in time for the start of the year's first Grand Slam tournament. Novak Djokovic is still being held in a refugee hotel in Australia while the issue of his visa is sorted. The Serbian, who tested positive for COVID-19 on December 16th and later recovered, says he was given a medical exemption to rules requiring COVID-19 vaccination.
