Sunday Sports Update
Top: There were wild scenes at Yankee Stadium at the end of Saturday's game between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians. Gleyber Torres (left) drove home the game-winning run to cap a two-run rally in the bottom of the 9th to give the Yankees a 5-4 win. However, the celebration was cut short when Yankees fans began throwing objects towards Guardians outfielder Myles Straw (right), who took exception to fans cheering after one of his teammates got injured while leaping into the wall earlier in the game. Bottom left: Vinnie Hinostroza celebrates after scoring a goal in the 2nd period of the Buffalo Sabres' game against the New York Islanders on Saturday. It was the last of three unanswered goals scored by the Sabres in the period, as they went on to defeat the Islanders 5-3 at the KeyBank Center. Buffalo has now won four in a row. Bottom right: One day after Frank Jagoda's school record-breaking win, Dunkirk was back it again on the high school baseball diamond on Saturday at Al Stuhlmiller Field, facing Gowanda. Here, Javier DeJesus hits a solo home run off Gowanda's Blake Herman in the bottom of the 7th inning. It wasn't enough for the Marauders, though, as they lost by a 7-5 score. Image by Dunkirk Access
