Sunday Sports Update

Top left: The first padded practice of Buffalo Bills training camp on Saturday got heated towards the end on Saturday, and Josh Allen was in the middle of it.  At the end of a designed quarterback keeper, Allen got bumped by defensive tackle Jordan Phillips.  Allen retaliated by shoving Phillips, and that led to a scuffle involving several players.  Head coach Sean McDermott had to break up the incident.  The Bills will get a chance to cool down today before returning to the price field at St. John Fisher College on Monday.  Image by Josh Constantine

Top right: Aaron Judge is on a power hitting tear for the New York Yankees.  On Saturday, the All-Star slugger hit his 42nd home run of the season, setting a franchise record for most homers hit in a season before August.  The home run was also the 200th of Judge's career, as the Yankees defeated the Kansas City Royals 8-2 at Yankee Stadium.  Only Ryan Howard reached 200 career MLB home runs faster than Judge has.  Photo by USA Today

The Sabres will be joined by five other NHL teams to compete in a round-robin challenge featuring prospects from each team.  Shown here is J.J. Bottom right: College basketball season may be months away, but regional fans can get their fix Tuesday night, as a team comprised primarily of former University at Buffalo players will compete for a $1 million prize. The team, called Blue Collar U, advanced to the championship game of The Basketball Tournament (aka TBT) with a win in the semifinal round on Saturday. Blue Collar U's opponent will face a team called Americana for Autism in Dayton, Ohio in a contest that will be televised on ESPN.  Photo from the @BlueCollarUTBT Twitter account
