Top: For 17 years, Jenn Suhr was a champion pole vaulter. Now she's enjoying "small town living," as she put it in her retirement announcement in July. Here, she is seen taking a selfie during a ceremony in downtown Fredonia on Saturday. A crowd of supporters gathered in Barker Common for the unveiling of a monument celebrating her career accomplishments. The Fredonia native, who won two Olympic medals and 17 U.S. pole vaulting championships throughout her career, plans to attend local sporting events as a fan, saying "I'm going to be what you guys were to me to the other athletes."
