Top left: Keegan Whitfield gets ready to make a 53-yard reception during the 4th quarter of Friday night's high school football game between Fredonia and Salamanca. Whitfield had a brilliant individual performance for the Billies in their 40-30 loss at the Orange Bowl; the senior caught eight passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns. Top right: The Buffalo Bills will be without one of their key defensive players for the rest of the year. Late this morning, the agent for Micah Hyde announced that the starting safety will be placed on injured reserve as a result of the neck injury he suffered in the Bills' 41-7 win over the Tennessee Titans. The news does not bode well for an ailing Buffalo defense, which will be without at least three other players for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. Photo by the Buffalo Bills
Bottom left: The New York Yankees are getting closer to clinching the American League East crown. On Friday, the Bronx Bombers defeated the Boston Red Sox 5-4 at Yankee Stadium, as Harrison Bader scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th inning.
