Sunday Sports Update

Top left: The last time the Buffalo Bills faced the Baltimore Ravens, the Bills' defense harassed quarterback Lamar Jackson and kept him out of the end zone in a 17-3 win in the 2020 AFC Divisional Playoffs.  The circumstances are different today, with today's matchup between the two teams taking place in Baltimore, but containing Jackson will still be a key for the Bills' defense.  Jackson has had a hot start to the season with 10 passing touchdowns and a pair of rushing touchdowns, and he leads all NFL quarterbacks with 243 rushing yards.  Listen to today's Bills-Dolphins game on WDOE (101.5 FM/1410 AM), with kickoff at 1:00 PM!  File photo

Top right: Multiple media outlets have reported that the NFL Players Association has fired the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant who was involved in clearing Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa during last Sunday's game against the Bills.  The NFLPA says the consultant made "several mistakes" in his evaluation. Tagovailoa, who suffered a head injury last Sunday, was cleared to return in the second half of the Dolphins' 21-19 win and was cleared to play against Cincinnati.  He left Thursday's game after suffering another head injury while getting sacked and did not return.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom left: Will Aaron Judge get his 62nd home run today?  He remains on 61 homers for the season after going 0-for-2 at the plate in the New York Yankees' 8-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.  Judge struck out twice and walked twice in the contest.  He needs just one more long ball to set a new single-season American League record.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom right: Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen gets ready to make a save during the Buffalo Sabres' preseason game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the KeyBank Center on Saturday.  Luukkonen made 32 saves and came within 1:36 of getting a shutout as the Sabres beat the Penguins 3-1.  Photo by the Buffalo Sabres
