Saturday Sports Update
Top: Fredonia's offense clicked in Friday night's Section VI Class C quarterfinal game at Depew. Ethan Fry (left), shown here throwing one of his four touchdown passes, went 12-for-17 for 232 yards and also ran for 82 yards in a 43-22 victory. Meanwhile, Micah Davis (right), shown here scoring one of his two rushing touchdowns in the game, finished the night with 97 yards on the ground. Fredonia led 29-0 at halftime after scoring touchdowns on each of their its first four possessions. Next up for the Billies will be a rematch of last year's Class C title game at Medina. Bottom left: The Buffalo Bills are the healthiest they have been in weeks, as they get ready for Sunday night's primetime game against the Green Bay Packers. The only active player who will be miss out due to injury is right tackle Spencer Brown, who missed practice for a third straight day on Friday, dealing with an ankle injury. The Bills are 11-point favorites against the Packers, who have plenty of injury woes. Photo by the Buffalo Bills
Bottom right: Not a bad start to the World Series...unless you're a Houston Astros fan. On Friday, the Philadelphia Phillies trailed 5-0 after three innings of Game 1, but quickly erased that deficit and then took the lead on J.T. Realmuto's solo home run in the top of the 10th inning. The solo shot to right field was the difference, as the Phillies won 6-5. Photo by USA Today
