Sunday Sports Update
Top: Two quarterbacks in the running for NFL MVP honors. But that will likely be among the last things on their minds when they square off Monday night. Josh Allen (left) has led the Buffalo Bills to a third straight AFC East title, an active six-game winning streak, and a 12-3 record this season. However, Cincinnati Bengals signal caller Joe Burrow (right) has been impressive in his own right; after an 0-2 start to the season, Burrow has rallied the Bengals to a record of 11-4, including a current seven-game win streak, and if that streak becomes eight, they will leapfrog the Bills for at least the number two seed in the AFC playoff race. On Saturday, the Sabres got a sixth straight victory with a thrilling 4-3 overtime win on the road against the NHL-leading Boston Bruins. Alex Tuch scored twice for the Sabres, including the game-winning goal with 1:07 remaining in overtime after the team tied the game late in regulation. Photo by the Buffalo Sabres
Bottom right: Georgia wide receiver Adonai Mitchell scores the go-ahead touchdown on a 10-yard catch with 54 seconds left in the College Football Playoff semifinals on Saturday. Mitchell's grab completed a late rally for the top-ranked Bulldogs, who held on to beat Ohio State 42-41 in the Peach Bowl. Next week's national championship game will pit Georgia against TCU, who upset Michigan 51-45 in the first CFP semifinal at the Fiesta Bowl. Photo from the @CFAPeachBowl Twitter page
