Sunday Sports Update
Top: Damar Hamlin will undoubtedly be on the minds of Buffalo Bills players, coaches, and fans at Highmark Stadium today, as the Bills get set to play for the first time since Hamlin collapsed last Monday in Cincinnati. While the player who wears number 3 will be watching the game from his hospital bed as he continues to recover from cardiac arrest, the number 3 will have a major presence at the stadium. The Bills face the New England Patriots in a 1:00 PM kickoff, and WDOE (101.5 FM/1410 AM) will once again have all the action. A win for the Bills today will clinch the number 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture. Photos by the Buffalo Bills

Victor Olofsson scored the game-winning goal with 18.3 seconds left in overtime, giving the Sabres a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Wild to kick off a four-game homestand. While Olofsson played the role of hero, Rasmus Dahlin, who had a five-point night, forced overtime with a goal late in the 3rd period. Photo by the Buffalo Sabres
Bottom right: Four players from Fredonia High School's 2022 football team were named to the New York State Sportswriters Association's Class C All-State team this week. Among them was senior Ethan Fry, shown here attempting a pass against Akron. Fry made the First Team after quarterbacking the Hillbillies to a 9-2 record and a trip to Highmark Stadium. Also, senior running back Micah Davis got named to the Second Team, junior wide receiver Jameson Quinn earned Third Team honors, and senior wide receiver Keegan Whitfield got Honorable Mention.
