Saturday Sports Update

Top: We're getting closer to Sunday's AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals.  The Bills began their practice week with a walk-through on Wednesday before getting into full practices on Thursday and Friday.  Head coach Sean McDermott indicated during a conference call with reporters on Friday that the team was trying to manage the wear and tear of a season that has been filled with injuries.  Speaking of injuries, the Bengals will be thin on their offensive line for Sunday's game, with starting tackles Alex Cappa and Jonah Williams both ruled out.  Photos by the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals

Bottom left: Rasmus Dahlin's assist on the Buffalo Sabres' game-winning goal against the New York Islanders on Thursday was a thing of beauty, as his long pass allowed Dylan Cozens to give the Sabres a 3-2 overtime win.  What can he do for an encore today?  The Sabres host the Anaheim Ducks in an early afternoon puck drop today at the KeyBank Center.  Photo by the Buffalo Sabres

Bottom right: Fredonia High School senior Mike Hahn puts up a tough shot during his team's game against Allegany-Limestone on Friday.  Hahn made the basket, which came with 32 seconds remaining in overtime to put the Billies ahead to stay.  Hahn finished the night with 21 points as Fredonia held on for a wild 74-71 victory.  Image by Allegany-Limestone High School
