Saturday Sports Update
Top: It was a high-scoring affair between Dunkirk and Fredonia in their high school softball rivalry game on Friday. Fredonia had 14 hits at the plate and took advantage of nine Dunkirk errors, seven of which came in the 3rd and 4th innings of a 17-12 win. Junior Sophia Gullo (left) led Fredonia's bats by going 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Meanwhile, Alyssa Salerno (right), shown here getting a baserunner caught in a rundown, was one of four Dunkirk players with multiple hits. Photos by Greg Larson

German got rocked early on, giving up a two-run home run in the 1st inning, then allowed another two run bomb in the 6th inning before his night was done. Meanwhile, the Yankees' batting lineup didn't help German's cause, delivering just five hits in a 6-1 loss. Photo by USA Today

Brunson led the Knicks with 21 points, while his team's defense held the Cavaliers to under 39% shooting from the floor in a 99-79 win in Game 3. New York leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.
