Top: It went down to the wire on the high school baseball diamond between Dunkirk and Olean on Friday. Runs were hard to come by for both teams; the Marauders made two key defensive plays in the first two innings to keep the Huskies off the board, including Zach Zentz's tag at home plate on Chase Vogtli (left) after an errant pitch. Late in the game, senior Brady Corbett doubled to lead of the 7th inning with the contest tied at 2-2, and four batters later, the senior celebrated after sliding home (right) on a slow grounder off the bat of Jonathan Ganey, giving Dunkirk a 3-2 win. Bottom left: Anthony Rizzo had some late-inning heroics of his own on Friday. The New York Yankees star had two home runs against the Tampa Bay Rays, including a go-ahead two run blast to right field to put the Yankees up 6-5. The Bronx Bombers went on to win by that score. Photo by USA Today
Bottom right: The Buffalo Bills opened their rookie minicamp on Friday at One Bills Drive, as their Class of 2023 gathered for the first time. Among the participants was tight end Dalton Kincaid, the Bills' 1st-round draft pick out of Utah.
