Fredonia's bid for Section VI baseball title falls short...Yankees walk off the Padres in extra innings...and a last-second follow-up by the Celtics forces a Game 7. Greg Larson has more details on today's Sunday Sports Update...

Top: Scoring opportunities came at a premium in Saturday's Section VI Class B-2 championship game between Fredonia and Roy-Hart. The Rams made the most of their chances; a two-out, two-run single by Zack Walker (left) broke a scoreless tie in the top of the 4th. Meanwhile, Fredonia's best chance came in the bottom of the 5th. A passed ball allowed Matt Cash to score (right) and bring the potential tying run to the plate, but Nathan Sercu flied into a double play, ending the rally. Fredonia went on to lose 5-1. With runners on second and third, IKF knocked a single down the left field line to drive home the game-winning run for a 3-2 victory at Yankee Stadium. Bottom right: Boston Celtics fans can thank Derrick White for extending their team's season for at least one more game. On Saturday, the Celtics trailed the Miami Heat 103-102 in Game 6 of the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals, just three seconds away from being eliminated. Marcus Smart missed a contested three-pointer, but White was there to follow up with a putback that barely beat the buzzer, giving the Celtics a 104-103 win to even up the series at 3-3 after they were down 3-0.
