A Jamestown man has been charged after he was found sleeping behind the wheel of a running vehicle on the city's west side late Monday night. Jamestown Police saw the car that was parked half on the terrace and half in the street on Hall Avenue shortly after 11:45 PM and tried to make contact with the driver, but he was sleeping and unresponsive while the car was still in drive. Officers were able to shut off the car and wake the driver, 35-year-old Matthew Ducayne, who was taken into custody for DWI and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Once there, Ducayne allegedly became disorderly and threw a metal trash can at an officer, striking a computer. He was additionally charged with 2nd-degree harassment for allegedly pushing an officer and 4th-degree criminal mischief. Ducayne was held pending arraignment due to his level of intoxication.
