A Dunkirk man was arrested in Pomfret for driving while intoxicated. On Sunday around 2:20am, officers with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Rt 60 in the Town of Pomfret. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Julian Martin, and further investigation found that Martin was allegedly driving while intoxicated. Martin was arrested and charged with DWI, DWI per se, and speed in zone. He will appear in the Town of Pomfret Court at a later date.
