Jamestown Police recently arrested a city man for an alleged violation of a stay-away order of protection. On March 28th, officers were called to an address on the city's south side and found that 40-year-old Juan Rivera violated the order by banging on the wall and yelling at the victim through their apartment. Rivera was located in a neighboring apartment, where he allegedly resisted arrest. After officers took Rivera into custody, he allegedly kicked the victim's apartment door and yelled at them again as he was walking through the building's common hallway. Rivera was charged with two felony counts of 1st-degree criminal contempt due to his criminal history and one count of resisting arrest.
