A Jamestown woman who had an active warrant for failing to appear in court was taken into custody earlier this month. Jamestown Police were patrolling the city's south side shortly after 4:00 AM on April 5th, when they saw 35-year-old Kanisha Pintagro. When officers advised her about the warrant, Pintagro allegedly repeatedly lied to officers about her name in an attempt to avoid arrest. She they allegedly resisted arrest, but was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Officers add that a search of Pintagro yielded a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine. She was charged with two counts of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as one count each of resisting arrest and false personation.
