Firefighters from two departments were called out to the scene of a tractor-trailer fire on I-86 near North Harmony late Monday night. The fire was first reported around 11:20 pm, with Ashville and Sherman responding to the call. WDOE News has learned that the driver of the rig was transported to WCA Hospital because of smoke inhalation. The fire resulted in the closing of I-86 from Exit 7 in North Harmony to Exit 6 in Sherman until around 6:30 am. No word on what caused the fire.
