

A Dunkirk man was taken into custody on felony drug charges after a traffic stop in the city on Wednesday. Dunkirk Police Chief Dave Ortolano says his patrol officers pulled over a vehicle shortly after 2:45 AM and found that 40-year-old Jorge Negron-Velazquez was allegedly found to be in possession of 128 grams of suspected cocaine, 8.5 ounces of marijuana, and $427 in cash. Negron-Velazquez was charged with 2nd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and 1st-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Dunkirk City Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
