The American Red Cross is in its 11th annual "Sound the Alarm" campaign, which seeks to reduce the incidence of injuries and fatalities associated with residential fires. Barter says volunteers will meet at SUNY Fredonia and branch out to communities that have been disproportionately affected by house fires, such as Fredonia, Dunkirk and Jamestown.
