Chautauqua Lake Group Sues State DEC Over New Wetland Regulations

Property owners along Chautauqua Lake and in the rest of the county are at a "critical point" in the effort to get the New York State DEC to back off from its new wetland regulations. That from Jim Wehrfritz, President of the Chautauqua Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA), who addressed the County Legislature during its monthly meeting on Wednesday. Wehrfritz, who resides in the Town of Ellery, says the CLPOA filed a lawsuit last Friday in order to halt the amendment to those regulations. He says they're already impacting local communities and property owners...
