The Jamestown Police Department is investigating a stabbing from last weekend that has turned fatal. At about 4:30 AM Sunday, Jamestown Police responded to the area of Lakeview Avenue and East 8th Street, where an unresponsive victim suffered a stab wound. Officers say the victim was transported to UPMC Chautauqua and then flown via STAT MedEvac to the Hamot Medical Center in Erie for life-threatening injuries. On Wednesday, the victim succumbed to his injury from the incident and was pronounced dead while at the hospital. Police say the victim's name is currently being withheld until a later date.
