Chautauqua County will receive nearly $1 million in funding through the second year of New York's State Targeted Reductions in Intimate Partner Violence (STRIVE) initiative. Governor Kathy Hochul recently announced that a record $23 million will be invested this year towards the initiative that works to support survivors of domestic violence and hold offenders accountable. Chautauqua County's share of that funding amounts to $970,907 to strengthen local efforts focused on prevention, intervention, and survivor support. More than 1,200 public safety professionals across the state participated in STRIVE training during the program’s first year.
