The Brooks-TLC Hospital System has presented a longtime registered nurse with its annual Carol Kozlowski Nurse of Distinction Award. Ellen Dempsey was presented with the honor this past week. According to Brooks-TLC, Dempsey -- who is part of the organization's Surgical Services team -- has "consistently led with compassion, integrity, professionalism, and an incredible work ethic that inspires everyone around her" throughout her 39-year career at Brooks. The award, which was first presented in 2017, is named in honor of the late Carol Kozlowski, who headed up Brooks Hospital's Nursing Division for more than two decades.
