A member of the Fredonia Village Board is advocating for the re-hiring of David Bird as the village's DPW Supervisor after last week's vote to terminate him from that post. Paul Wandel, who read a lengthy statement during this week's Village Board workshop, said an executive session was called after the May 11th board meeting for the purpose of firing Bird. Paul Wandel: rescind the vote, vacate Lazarony's allegations
Wandel was the lone trustee who voted against the firing of Bird in the vote held after last week's executive session. Lazarony, along with Ben Brauchler and Christine Cruz-Keefe, all voted in favor of dismissing Bird. Jon Espersen was absent from that meeting.
